Volunteer Coach Responsibilities

Volunteer coaches are required to deliver the "Soccer" in Soccer and Scouting.

Become a Volunteer Coach

Complete the BSA Adult Volunteer Application Form (available in both English and Spanish).

The NSCAA State Diploma

The State Diploma is a five-hour course for new coaches. The curriculum focuses on the organization of a practice session, using small-sided games to enhance knowledge and fun, knowing the laws of the game and information about the care and prevention of injuries.

Parent Helper Responsibilities

Parent helpers are required to deliver the "Scouting" in Soccer & Scouting. View photos.

Parent Helper Training

Members of your local Boy Scouts of America council will provide training.

The Boy Scouts of America is currently making assessments and is in discussions with new potential licensed vendors for the Soccer and Scouting program.
